1. Who we are
FireCorp ("FireCorp," "we," "us," or "our"), located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, publishes MÜT (Music Utility Toolkit). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the MÜT mobile application. For privacy questions, contact privacy@firecorp.ca.
2. No account and no FireCorp app server
MÜT does not require an account. FireCorp does not operate a backend that receives your repertoire, setlists, recordings, scanned documents, compositions, calendar entries, or app preferences.
3. Content stored on your device
Files you import, scan, create, or record are stored in the app's local storage on your device. This content leaves the app only when you initiate an operating-system sharing, export, backup, or similar action. Apple or Google device-backup features may include local app data according to your device and account settings.
4. Camera, microphone, files, and Bluetooth input
- The camera is used when you choose to scan sheet music or record video.
- The microphone is used when you tune an instrument or record audio or video.
- The system file picker is used when you choose files to import.
- Compatible Bluetooth keyboard or pedal input can be used to turn document pages.
FireCorp does not receive camera images, microphone audio, imported files, or Bluetooth input through a FireCorp server. Permission access can be changed in your device settings.
5. Advertising and information processed by Google
MÜT uses Google Mobile Ads to display advertising. Google and its advertising partners may automatically collect or process information including your IP address and IP-derived approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, advertisements shown to you, app launches, taps and other product interactions, diagnostics, crash information, and performance information. They may use this information for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and ad measurement.
Depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or used only for technical ad delivery. MÜT uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request consent where required and checks whether ads may be requested before initializing Mobile Ads. When required in your region, you can revisit your choices from MÜT Settings > Advertising Privacy Choices.
Learn more from Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
6. How and why information is used
Local content is used only to provide the features you request. Advertising information is processed by Google and its partners for the purposes described above. Where applicable, processing relies on your consent or another lawful basis made available under applicable law.
7. Sharing and international processing
FireCorp does not sell your imported or created content. Information used for advertising may be shared with or processed by Google and advertising partners in countries other than your own, subject to their safeguards and applicable law. Content you deliberately export or share is handled by the recipient and the operating-system service you select.
8. Retention and deletion
Local content remains on your device until you delete it in MÜT or remove the app, subject to device-backup settings. Because MÜT has no user account or FireCorp app backend, there is no server-side MÜT account to delete. Google and its partners retain advertising information according to their own policies and legal obligations. You can reset or delete advertising identifiers using supported device privacy controls.
9. Security
MÜT relies on operating-system app storage and permission controls for local content. Google states that data automatically collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children
MÜT is a general-audience music utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect a child's imported or created content through a FireCorp app server. A parent or guardian should supervise use by a minor and manage device and advertising privacy settings. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information directly to FireCorp.
11. Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke camera and microphone permissions, delete local content, uninstall the app, manage device backups, manage advertising privacy choices when available, and use your device's advertising-identifier controls. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information controlled by FireCorp. Email privacy@firecorp.ca to make a request.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MÜT, its service providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the date above.
